Alicia, Mike and baby

My friend Alicia asked me to do some maternity shots before her due date in 2 weeks. I was a little nervous because it was my first maternity shoot. We had so much fun though! I'm surprised how much you can do with a pregnant woman. Here are some of my favorites

Skylar, Tylar and Morgan

My cousin wanted me to take pictures of her kids. they are so talented, they all play several instruments and Morgan is a ballerina. They were so fun to take pictures of. I usually do babies or toddlers and this ended up being really nice because I could mold them to pose. So much fun!

Payton

Ok so I was only going to post a few of my favorites, but I got a little carried away! I loved taking pictures of this little one! She is so good a posing, and of course very beautiful! Thanks Cilka for letting me practice!

Mittens

One night we went to a carnival, but it was cold and rainy and therefore didn't want my little ones hands to freeze. So I made her mittens. All I did was trace her hands, traced it onto the fabric giving an extra 1/2 inch or so, and leaving lots or room for their hands to enter the glove. Sewed wrong sides together, turn inside out and there they are! You can add ribbon with velcro to help keep them on if you like as well.

Skirts

These are the many skirts I made for my little gal . They are so fun and so easy! All I did was buy half a yard of fabric, cut 2 17 inch fabric pieces, sewed wrong sides together, added a hem on both sides, left the top hem open, then weaved elastic through.
From there I had to try it on her to see how tight I needed the elastic, then tied it and sewed it up! From there I have added more and more things. Take a look!

A pretty bow for her head

My friend has this great book for making fabric bows. They are so great to make for those little girlies! I made some to match some little skirts I made for her. I love the neutral colors like, brown and black so she can wear them with anything. All I did was cut 8 squares, fold them into a triangle, then with a needle and thread, stitch up the open side of the triangle to the tip and back down. Then pull it tight, and move onto the next triangle and start sewing them all together, without cutting the thread in between. Hot glue a button on and there ya go! Cute as a button!

O picture frames

So I haven't filled these in with pictures yet, but they will be so cute when they do! Just purchased two picture frames and mod podged scrapbook paper and added a little ribbon and rub on saying, and there it is! so cute and fits my little gals room!

Taking pics

I have a new hobby that I really enjoy, that is photography! I originally wanted to learn the basics and just take pictures of my family, but I find a lot of joy doing it for other people as well. If any of you are interested in letting me take pictures of your little ones, or even family shots, let me know! I am really into the more up to date look. I will post a few pictures to show you what I mean. I like mine fresh and colorful, and just like the flag one soft and gentle. I'm still playing around with it, but I sure do enjoy them!

Mod podge shelf

I just love these shelves! I painted and covered them with scrapbook paper. Great way to draw them in with the rest of your room, along with your personalized babies name. Because every nursery has to have block letters of course!

Clip one on

This is one of my favorites! Bought a single blank board at Joanns, mod podged it. Bought 4 big clothes pins and mod podged. Added a little ribbon and bling, and there ya go! Inter-changeable for pictures as well!

A cushy Pillow

When I made Mo's bedding, I had some extra scraps laying around, so I made a little decorative pillow to go on our glider. Since I am no longer needing the boppy pillow, this works great for feedings, rocking and decoration!

Live, laugh, love

I love those little quote boards, but knew I couldn't find something to match her room. So I made it! Bought the board from Roberts, mod podged the paper, and bought a quote from the Quilted Bear. All cost me $14 bones! Not a bad deal for something so lovely!

Ribbon pics

This is a nice little way to take up a wall. Bought 3 bare wood shapes and covered it with scrapbook paper and added her pics, along with a few quotes. Glued it to the ribbon and there ya go!
